Melissa Ferreira is the local designer behind adhesif clothing co. Born in Montreal, Melissa was influenced by her mother who worked in garment production for large scale clothing distributors in that city.

At the age of twelve, Melissa moved with her family to Vancouver where her love for fashion and design flourished. Eventually she found herself working as a vintage clothing buyer for several local companies.

Years as a vintage clothing buyer inspired her to create garments with older fabrics that make each piece original or “one of a kind”. Melissa is excited by the double advantage of using recycled materials; not only do they reduce waste, but they also add distinctive personality to her designs.

After many years of experimenting with textiles on her own, Melissa is proud to say she is self-taught and hopes to continue learning in this way for years to come.
